A. Roy Daniels
Phoenix Organs of Texas is owned by A. Roy Daniels. Mr. Daniels was previously the Southern California representative for Phoenix Organs. He moved to Corpus Christi a year ago and became the Texas (also Arizona and New Mexico) representative for Phoenix Organs. Mr Daniels is the Director of Music/Organist at First Presbyterian in Corpus Christi and the associate organist at the Corpus Christi Cathedral. He has many years experience with digital organs and pipe/combination organs.
Mr. Daniels has concertised extensively throughout the United States, England and France. Upon one of his concerts at Liverpool Cathedral, England, Ian Tracey, the organist at the Cathedral, invited Mr. Daniels to hear their "traveling organ", as he called it, in the West Gallery. It turned out to be a Phoenix Organ which just sounded unbelievably like a pipe organ. That's when Mr. Daniels was sold on the Phoenix line of Organs. Mr Daniels says: " after hearing Allens, Rodgers, Emminent, Viscount, Wyvern, Jahannus and Galanti it was easy to hear the tonal difference between these instruments and the Phoenix...just no comparison. I'd even put the Phoenix up against the best Bob Walker and Marshall and Ogletree instruments."
